Dr. Ruth Mintah [she/her]

Board Management Advisor

Dr Ruth Mintah is a registered clinical psychologist with over 12 years’ experience working within mental health services. She has a particular interest in intersectionality and the impact of structural inequalities on the lives of marginalised groups. Her doctoral thesis explored Black women’s experiences of disclosing sexual violence which was birthed out of a passionate stance against gender-based violence and a desire to hear the narratives of Black women which are so often neglected in academia. It is through this research that she developed a relationship with HERSANA and now serves as a board advisor. Ruth is also passionate about racial equity within the field of clinical psychology and has been involved in initiatives to support Black aspiring clinical psychologists.
