SANA Festival: Join us celebrate our third anniversary the Black femme way!

On May 6, 2023, HERSANA will celebrate its third anniversary. This will mark years of building safe spaces and providing holistic support services for and with Black women and girls [femmes] across the United Kingdom.

As part of our celebration, we inviting you to our very first SANA Fest from 10:00am – 21:00pm at Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, London SW11 5TN.

At HERSANA, we work to eradicate all forms of gender-based violence targeted at Black femmes through a gender, culture, and trauma informed approach. In our years of existence, we have provided wholistic support to thousands of victims and survivors, provided capacity-building training to stakeholders across sectors and have created a safe space that centres care and joy. The SANA Fest, feeding into our years of work, centres the wholeness of the Black femme, her everyday needs, growth, and continuance.

The day-long event will include pop-up stall exhibitions from various businesses, creatives and service providers, workshops on subjects in line with our framework and the evening panel discussion. We also look forward to bringing together those leading on the coordinated community response to all forms of gender-based violence from specialist services, survivor networks and forums, local authorities, police and criminal justice agencies, government departments and the health sector to name a few.
